Alpha Omega

From the first dawn at the start of it all
To the day the sun will take its much needed rest
In the days I feel like I do nothing but fall
To the days I feel alive, at peace and at rest

When I am walking in the hot and scorching wilderness,
In the cold, freezing, desert night,
Or in a warm, rich and plentiful land.
When everything in my life has taken its toll,

When I am beaten up, afraid, even angry
When nothing seems to make sense anymore
Or when you kick in and save the moment
When I am freed from the pain and torment,
And every moment feels like a sunrise
You were God, You are God, and You will always be God
For You are the God of every moment

When the world says you are nothing but a myth
When they stand on their self-built pedestals,
And in their circles try to ignore, deny or discredit you,
When they try to take you for a fool

When it looks like the wicked prosper more than the faithful
And your children seem to jump from trouble to trouble
Without time to stop and pick up the rubble
You are still the God of every moment

The unfailing, never-changing God who lives outside the constant of time,
Who has the perfect plan for His every son,
Who knows my tomorrow from the dawn of time
And build something for you in your lowest time
That will take you to your prime
